Twin Cities-based Pioneer Management Consulting, who is now celebrating 10 years in business, gets a new look thanks to Duffy
Pioneer Management started their firm to provide program management services to companies in industries all over the world. As their client base grew, they began seeing holes in the ability of companies of any size to realize the strategies that Pioneer’s program management services supported. This changed their entire approach to work – they began setting effective strategies supported by solid management and execution – all while caring about people and how they experience change at work.
For the last decade, Pioneer has partnered with local clients such to drive large scale organizational transformations, deploying multi-billion dollar infrastructure projects, and bringing clarity to company leaders. Since 2017 alone, Pioneer has served 11 new local companies, increased revenues by 283%, increased staff by 400%, kept internal engagement high and exceeded their internal client satisfaction goal. This work has been achieved by word of mouth only.
Pioneer saw this 10-year anniversary as an opportunity to reconfigure and redesign. Here’s where Duffy comes in.
In Duffy’s words: “We believe the strength of a visual identity is achieved when the name and symbol are meaningfully connected. There are many artfully designed swirls, intertwining circles and abstractions locked-up with a name in this category. In these situations, design defaults to being decorative versus being communicative. Inspired by their name, we created a brand identity that illuminates their belief that there are no formulas, no predetermined roadmap to follow, that each client has their own compass and must follow it. The compass represents two important ideas, finding one’s true course and achieving a desired outcome. These ideas are the very essence of the Pioneer way. The iconic nature of the compass connects to the universal sensibility of “Pioneering” and powerfully, we have an immediate understanding of who Pioneer is and what they represent without saying a word.”
